What can I expect from a HCS Residential Service call?
At HCS, we treat our customers like family, and we are committed to providing you with the best service possible. When you schedule a residential service call, you can expect a knowledgeable technician who will treat you and your home with respect. The technician will start by properly diagnosing your HVAC unit to determine the root cause of the issue. Once the problem is identified, the technician will thoroughly explain the issue to you, allowing you to make an informed decision on how to proceed with the repair.

How often should I change my air filter?
The frequency of air filter changes depends on several factors. As a general guideline, it is recommended to change your air filter at least 3-4 times a year. However, we also encourage you to check the condition of your filter monthly and replace it as needed. This ensures optimal air quality and system performance.
How often should I have my system inspected?
For optimal performance and efficiency, it is recommended to have your HVAC system inspected twice a year. Ideally, one inspection should be scheduled in the spring before the hot weather arrives, and the other in the fall before the cold weather sets in. Regular inspections help identify any potential issues and ensure your system operates smoothly throughout the year.
Do you offer financing?
While we don’t provide financing for repair and installation services directly, we do offer financing options through Alabama Power and SPIRE for new system equipment. These financing options can help make your HVAC upgrades more affordable and convenient.
How much does it cost to have you come out?
Our residential diagnostic fee is $79 (Monday-Friday). This fee covers the expert assessment and diagnosis of your HVAC system. Any additional work required will be explained and approved by you before proceeding.
What’s included in the diagnostic service?
Each diagnostic service includes a detailed written report and a verbal explanation of any issues discovered during the assessment of your HVAC unit. Our technicians will ensure you have a clear understanding of the problem and the recommended solutions.
What is your after-hours rate for residential service calls?
For Residential after-hours service calls, our diagnostic fee is $129. We understand that emergencies can happen outside of regular business hours, and we strive to provide prompt assistance. It’s important to note that some parts may not be readily available during after-hours service calls, as certain supply houses may be closed. In such cases, we will obtain the necessary parts during normal business hours.
What’s your best deal?
Our most economical offering is our annual residential service agreement. For $150.00, you receive two annual checkups for one system. Additional systems are eligible for a 25% discount on the annual fee. With the annual contract, you benefit from priority service, regular rates for after-hours service, a 10% discount on repairs, and a 5% discount on new installations.
